When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject and message so we can reply to you. The message is sent to our email inbox.
Comments
When you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and optional website you enter, your comment, your IP address and your browser user agent, to help detect spam. Your email address is not published. If you have a Gravatar account, an anonymised string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to display your profile picture; Gravatar’s privacy policy applies to that service.
Security and server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider and our security software automatically process technical data such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to keep the website secure, block malicious traffic and fix technical problems.
Cookies
We use only a small number of cookies, described in our Cookie Policy. We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies.
Analytics
We do not currently run a third-party analytics service on this website. If we add one, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

- Contact messages: kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry, and generally deleted within 24 months.
- Comments and their metadata: kept for as long as the comment is published.
- Security logs: kept for a limited period according to our security software and hosting settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent and request a copy of your data. UK and EU residents may also complain to their data protection authority (for example, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office).
