Guide Healthy Life

Editorial Policy

Last updated: October 30, 2026

This policy explains how Guidehealthylife chooses topics, researches and writes articles, uses sources, keeps content up to date and corrects mistakes. We publish it so readers can judge how much to trust what they read here.

Our editorial principles

  • Accuracy first. Health claims should be supported by reliable evidence, and we avoid stating more certainty than the evidence allows.
  • Clarity. We write in plain English and explain technical terms.
  • Independence. Our content is not shaped by advertisers or brands. If we ever publish sponsored content or use affiliate links, it will be clearly labelled.
  • Usefulness. Every article should answer a real question and give practical, safe next steps.
  • Honesty about limits. We make it clear when evidence is limited, mixed or still developing.

How we choose topics

We focus on common, everyday health questions within our six topic areas: nutrition, fitness, mental wellness, sleep health, healthy lifestyle and weight management. We do not publish content that promotes unproven cures, extreme diets or advice that could put readers at risk.

How we research and write

  1. We identify what readers need to know and the most common misconceptions.
  2. We consult reputable sources, prioritising government health agencies, major medical organisations, systematic reviews and peer-reviewed research.
  3. We write the article, linking to the sources that support specific claims.
  4. We check facts, figures, dosages and recommendations against the original sources before publishing.

Sources we rely on

Examples of sources we commonly use include the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), MedlinePlus, the UK National Health Service (NHS), the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), Health Canada, the Public Health Agency of Canada and Healthdirect Australia, as well as peer-reviewed journals. We avoid using blogs, forums or commercial product pages as evidence for health claims.

Use of AI tools

We may use software tools, including AI writing assistants, to help with research organisation, outlining or editing. Any such content is fact-checked against primary sources and edited by a person before publication. A tool is never treated as a source of medical facts.

Medical review

Some articles may be reviewed by a qualified healthcare professional. An article is only labelled as medically reviewed when that has genuinely happened, and the reviewer is named. See our Medical Review Policy.

Updating content

Health guidance changes. We review published articles periodically and when we become aware of new guidance. When an article is meaningfully updated, the “Updated” date at the top of the article changes. Minor fixes, such as typos, do not change the date.

Corrections

If we find or are told about an error, we check it promptly. Factual errors are corrected as quickly as possible, and significant corrections are noted at the end of the article. To report an error, please contact us with the page address and details of the issue, or email Shahidhossain242@icloud.com.

Advertising and conflicts of interest

Guidehealthylife does not currently display advertising. If this changes, advertising will be kept clearly separate from editorial content, and advertisers will have no influence over what we write. Contributors must disclose any conflicts of interest.
